| A mature, minority owned and operated business, ASD has its corporate office in Arlington, Virginia with offices in Huntsville, Alabama; Herndon, Virginia; and Colorado Springs, Colorado with client-site locations across the country in 9 states, the District of Columbia and Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. Founded in 1979, ASD won its first government contract in 1980 with the Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Then in 1982, the firm was approved by the Small Business Administration to the 8(a) program, graduating in 1992 and transitioning to a fully competitive company at the beginning of fiscal year 1996. Under our 20-year CIMS contract, ASD provides extensive IT Enterprise support to the U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command and to Missile Defense Agency. ASD supports the Department of Defense (DoD), Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) components. ASD provides support to the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics) in the area of eBusiness which provides portfolio management to the entire Acquisition Corps. ASD provides support in the areas of call center management/helpdesk, network engineering and management, systems installation and integration, information assurance, web and database management, asset management, and acquisition support for the following OSD/WHS components: Executive Secretariat (immediate office of the Secretary of Defense), Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), Assistant Secretary of Defense (Legislative Affairs), Office of General Counsel, Director of Operational Test and Evaluation, Assistant to the Secretary of Defense (Intelligence Oversight), Director for Net Assessment, Directorate of Programs, Analysis, and Evaluation, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces for many years.
